2月16日、イギリスのクラッパム・コモン公園に、巨大なハリネズミが出現した。その大きさは人より大きく、体高2.1m（7フィート）もあるんだとか。これは一体・・・

で、デカイです。
普通なら手のひらにでも乗るくらいのハリネズミが、こんなにデカイとは。

そうそう、もちろんこのハリネズミはつくりもの。
動物学者で植物学者であるサー・デイビッド・アッテンボロー（Sir David Attenborough）さんによる「Natural Curiosities」という番組のセカンドシリーズが、Watch（イギリスのテレビチャンネル）で2月18日から始まるためで、そのプロモーションで制作・設置されたそうです。

いやぁ、子供の頃によく見たアッテンボローさんが、まだまだお元気そうでなにより。なぜハリネズミかというと、アッテンボローさんが好きな動物のひとつがこのハリネズミだからなんだって。

巨大ハリネズミですが、19日からはBristol College Green、20日からはManchester Piccadilly Gardensにも出現するようです。

そしてこのハリネズミと一緒に自撮りしようキャンペーンも開催中（ハリネズミじゃなくて他の動物との写真でもいいのかな）。キャノンのカメラなどが当たるようですよ。
